Hope that this letter finds you and your family all well. What a great time we had on the Big Bend Trip. If you missed that trip you missed a good one. Barney said that we would not be going back for a few years before we went, But after the trip I think I heard him maybe backing up on the not going next year. We will have to wait and see. I want to say thank you to Barney Castro and Diane Selby for setting up this great camping trip. You did a great job and it was a great trip.

Summer has definitely come to an end. Now we are heading into our winter riding season and we will start staying in town on Friday nights. After this next weekend the time changes so we will be starting out from Kohl’s in the dark. I will start sending out the emails during the week telling everyone where we will be eating. That way you can meet at the restaurant or you can still meet at Kohl’s at 6:00 pm for devotion and ride out at 6:30 pm to the restaurant. Some of us will not give up the motorcycle even if it is cold. Hahahhah. If you know of a restaurant that has a room that we can reserve or can handle groups of 25 – 45 please email me with the information. We need to find some more restaurants here in town that will take large groups on Friday night. So if you know of some place my email is mark@frlubbocktx.org.

Angel Tree is coming upon us very fast. We will be getting the names here in a couple of days and be going through them. We will have some Angel Tree presentations during the month of November. I hope that all of you will try to come and be a part of these presentations. We will need lots of bikes to show up when we do one of them. We will have 2 to 3 presentations to do. I will get an email out as soon as the churches and children have been contacted. I hope all of you are getting excited about this time of year coming upon us. The time when we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the greatest gift ever given. We will be announcing dates and times about Angel Tree as they become available, so watch your email and keep your eye on the web site.

I want to take this time right here to say thank you to all of the Fellowship Riders. You make Fellowship Riders what it is. I am proud to be a Fellowship Rider. I am proud to know all of you and ride with all of you. You guys and gals have big heart and are great friends to be around. I also want to say thanks to the leadership team. I could not get all this done without you. You guys are the best to work with.

Tuesday, Oct. 28th Fellowship Rider Sonic Night

Come on out and join the fun. We will meet at the Sonic on 50th & Indiana at 7:00 pm. Hamburgers are ½ price that night and they also have some sort of music or a magic show or some kind of entertainment in the gazebo out back on that night. So come on out and bring the family.

Friday, Oct. 31st Halloween at Keller Williams

This year Halloween falls on our Friday night ride. So what I would like for everyone to do is come over to Keller Williams 4747 South Loop 289 that’s on the access road between Slide & Quaker. We will meet there at 5:00 & 5:30pm. I know this early so come when you can. We will not meet at Kohl’s instead we will just meet at Keller Williams. We will fill our saddlebags with candy for the kids since we don’t have trunks. Keller Williams will furnish the Candy. Hope you will be able to come out and help with this. Keller Williams is a supporter of Fellowship Riders and we want to show our support of them. The trunk for treats will be over at 7:30 pm and we will go over to Rudy’s Barbecue and eat and fellowship at that time. Hope to see you there.

November Safety Course

The safety course has been canceled due to some conflictive time scheduling. We will reschedule the course after the first of the year.

Saturday, Nov. 8th Second Saturday Ride

We will meet at the Flying J, I-27 & 4th Street at 9:00 and decide if we want to ride somewhere and eat breakfast or stay there and eat breakfast and go home. We will have to see what the weather is like, as we have reached that time of year again when sometimes you can ride and sometimes you don’t want to ride, if you know what I mean. (Hahahahha) We will make a decision to ride or to stay that morning. Come on out and we will have some fellowship and get breakfast one way or another.

Tuesday, Nov. 18th FRL Womens Addition Meeting

The Womens Addition went to the mud room at their last meeting, everyone had a good time of fellowship and painting and brought some neat stuff home. All women are welcome to come and join the fun. This meeting we want everyone to try and be here. We will be drawing names for Secret Pals. So come and get in on the fun.

Saturday, Nov. 22nd Providers Pantry

Please come and help out at the ROC. They will be distributing food for Providers Pantry at 6:15 am. Yes that’s in the morning. We need you help, so come on out and help load food up. We will be done about 8:30am and then some of us usually go and eat breakfast. Hope to see you Sat. morning.
